A weakness of any parsley treatment for bad breath is that, like lots of the breath taking products in the marketplace these days, it has little significance for long term treatment of a chronic bad breath issue. Though it does have some antiseptic qualities, and contains a great deal of chlorophyll, another natural cure for bad breath, it does not appear to do much more than temporarily mask the odor characteristic of chronic halitosis. To tackle chronic halitosis, you’ll want to use something that has more ability to kill or displace the odor producing bacteria that reside in the mouth. Natural choices to parsley for bad breath which are intended to offer a more lasting effect can be found.
Regardless of how intense your breath odor is, using parsley for bad breath isn’t going to do any harm, in fact it has nutritional value alone is an excellent reason to use more of it. Add a new sprig to your dinner plate or decorate your sandwich with a bunch of leaves. Throw a few into salads to receive a fresh sharp flavor reminiscent of celery. Some people carry a few around in a plastic bag in a pocket so they’ll have a parsley treatment for bad breath each time they need it. Though not the most effective breath treatment around, parsley is a healthy option, and surprisingly helpful in the short term.
