The design of ponds, or backyard ponds as they’re often called, can appear a little bit daunting at first. A plethora of questions can arise which may confuse or discourage a homeowner out of beginning the job. How large should the pond be? Should it be a backyard pond, a koi pond or a swimming pond? Can I apply the features I want?

Vai avanti!

Despite the fact that the “experts” want you to think that the answers to these and other questions are worth paying them hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars, I am here to tell you that life isn’t that hard. A garden pond isn’t just one of the simpler things to put in within a landscape, it’s also among the most rewarding. If you can answer these questions about your dreams for your pond, you’ll be well on your way to appreciating the decoration of your outdoor surroundings!

The first, and most important, question you must ask yourself is “what’s the goal of this garden pond?” Every Pond has to be there for a reason. These don’t need to be earth-shattering motivations, but we have to see that the pond is present to fulfill a need in our lives. What’s the need for you?

Do you need the ambience a backyard pond can produce, with its bubbling fountains and gentle splashing of water that is drinkable? Or maybe you would like to find birds drinking out of your backyard pond and see the fish swimming around the bottom of the lily pads. If you are like me, your pond should be deep enough to offer you a place to cool off in the hot summer sun, while also tickling your ears! Whatever your reasons for making a pond, be sure that they’re truly YOUR reasons. You don’t need to experience all of the work of building a retreat, just not to take appropriate pleasure from it!

Tenete a mente

The second question you will need to answer is “What sort of pond will fill this need?” There are 3 major types of ponds to select from.

Giardino acquatico

The first (and most popular) pond is known as a Water Garden. A water garden is a pond made to support both animal and plant life. It can be pretty small, to accommodate modest spaces, and should have fish which don’t grow too large. The second type of pond is the Koi Pond.

Stagni Koi

The Swimming Pond’s

Scelte

The last question is concerning the qualities of your backyard pond. What do you wish to see in your landscape? Do you like the look of water spilling over the edge of a collapse? Maybe you’re into the tender sounds of streams feeding into your pond with a soothing steadiness found only in character!

What about the durability and strength of a correctly placed boulder here and there? Regardless of what qualities you select, the most important element to think about at this stage is price! What is your budget? Try to adhere to this as carefully as possible. The worst feeling in the world is a pond project that’s supposed to bring peace and serenity, stopped by a lack of money!

Conclusione
